| Boy oh boy...less than 1 week and the home that I have had for the last 3 years will no longer be my home. I'm getting more and more anxious about moving, and really looking foward to it too. As I have said before, it will be a HUGE change for me, and quite a stretch for me as well...so we will see how it goes!!
Went out to Brother's last night, with the typical crew. The Three Amigos were together again (Me, Total Package, and Hunka), Brett and his roomates, Melissa and her roomate and a bunch of Hunka's friends. It was a really good time. Best part of it though? SEEING KEVMAN!! So I got to chill with Kevman last night, that was awesome. He has done quite the job to grow his hair out, I'm impressed.
Friday I went to St. Louis with some people from Gordmans. We had a blast. We met up at 5am...yes 5am...and went to breakfast then drove down there and shopped till like 5:30 (long freakin day) then went to the Cards game. The Cardinals came back to win, and during the game they announced that they had traded for Larry Walker (HUGE acquisition for us) and the crowd went nuts. Yet another great game that I have gone to this year!!
I've been packing up the last couple days and cleaning around the house. I want to leave it as clean as possible, even though it's typically pretty clean. There are boxes all over the place right now. Well, it's starting to get warmer outside so I'm glad my parents got me an AC unit for my room for the house...I think I will need it very badly.
I move next weekend, so for those who are around and want to help me...lemme know cause I can use as much help as possible. Heck, if I get enough people and enough cars we could probably get everything moved in 1 trip...that would be awesome.
And finally, here is an update on the theft and insurance deal from mid-July. Well, if you add up the cost of everything that was stolen, it ended up being somewhere around $2,100. But since the insurance companies are a bunch of crooks and use bad math, they only count like $1,600. Minus the $500 deductible and roughly $300 for depriciation value, I get a check next week for like, $800 some dollars. Real shady if you ask me...I only get 800 dollars to replace over 2,100 worth of stuff. At least I'm getting some back though, so I guess it could be worse. Anyway, that is all for now...time to get back to the movie (it's on Comedy Central)

| Yesterday was my last day on the floor at Best Buy!! It was so incredibly boring, I won't miss it at all. The high point of the day? Seeing my boy Jack Ingram looking at TV's...Jack is gonna rip it up this year, just you wait and see!! My last official day at Best Buy is Sunday night, I decided to stay and help out with Physical Inventory...it's boring but it's real easy and we get free food...so I'm in. I'm still doing the Gordman's thing, which means I was up at 6am today, will be tomorrow as well. Tonite I'm going to the High Dive for my friend Martha's going away party. I'm not going to stay late, hence the 6am wake up tomorrow.
I get this a lot, 'What have you been doing all summer?' Well, after the rampage of weddings and bachelor parties, I've pretty much just been working and hanging out. I go out with my friends Hunka and Brett all the time. I've known Ben (Hunka) for a while, but we lost contact during the school year and just started hanging out this summer. Brett I just met about a month ago at Best Buy. So I guess that is the only redeeming quality about Best Buy, meeting cool people.
I sent in all the papers to my insurance compnay, so hopefully pretty soon I'll be getting the check from them so I can finally get everything replaced.
I've started the packing process, my living room is getting full with boxes!! Better do it now then waiting and not having time to do it all.
Guess that's it for now!
This post was a very random assortment of thoughts....I just woke up from a nap
| Well, at Kara's request it's time to update my xanga! Nothing big happening aroud here really...just typical summer stuff. I signed my separation notice at Best Buy last Friday, so next Sunday (exactly 6 days) is my last day! Since I was working in Home Theater, it's really not that bad...but just too much has changed since the last time I was there, and I don't think it was a change for the better. What does it mean when 8 months after you quit you don't know 90% of the people who work at the store now? Someone isn't doing something right.
I've been working on all the insurance crap to get payment back from all my stolen stuff. It's really a pain my butt...there is so much to fill out. Plus they want to know when I paid for all this stuff, how am I supposed to remember stuff like that? Anyway, I worked on it for like 2 hours on Saturday and I'll finish it up today, mail to my dad, and hopefully we will have it to the insurance company by Thursday. The sooner the better! Since I've been getting bored recently (no PS2) I started packing already. I have a ton of crap and probably should take most of it to Effingham. I know it's still a little early to start packing, but this way I can work more the weeks before we move...move in date is August 15 so if anyone is around and wants to help, I'll be more than happy to put you to work!
Saw Kim and Kara out on Saturday night at Legends!! That was a total suprise and really capped off a good evening. Then, I skipped softball last night to go to Clybourne with the girls, again, a real good time. I finally met their friend Mary and she seems really cool. Also, they just got a new kitty, named Kennedy! They don't know what they are going to do with it when school starts, but hey...they have a kitty!
I guess that's about it...I'm going to try to be productive today...the Cards game is on ESPN tonite. Still 10 games up over the Cubs in the Central!
| Went out with a bunch of Best Buy people last night...so now I'm running on 2 hours sleep. Highlight of the evening? Dancing next to James Augustine. | | |
| OK, so for the first time in 3 years from being away from home, I feel a little homesick. I don't know why. Maybe it's a combination of feeling uneasy after the whole break in thing and being home for so long over the past week. I just don't know. It's not a, 'i miss effingham' thing, cause for those of you who know me, you know that I don't miss effingham at all. Maybe its just the quiet and the stability and the fact that now everything is up in the air? Now I'm just rambling... | | |
